SWIT has officially released their K Series field monitors. The K15 and K21 are now available globally after their IBC 2024 debut. These high-brightness monitors bring rugged construction, color accuracy, and workflow-focused features to field environments. Designed for production use, they offer 1500nits brightness, HDR/SDR support, and built-in 3D LUT calibration.

Designed for Video Village and On-Set Review

The K15 and K21 are well-suited for use in video village environments—where directors, cinematographers, and clients typically monitor the feed. These are situations where clear image evaluation, dependable tools, and practical features are essential.

Both models provide 1500nits of brightness, which helps maintain image visibility in outdoor or high ambient light conditions. The K15 offers a 1650:1 contrast ratio for improved tonal separation, while the K21’s larger 21.5″ screen provides more viewing area—useful when multiple people are reviewing a take.

SceneOS allows up to eight user-defined layouts, each with four shortcut function buttons. This setup gives operators quick access to specific monitoring tools without navigating through layered menus.

Color calibration can be performed automatically using an X-rite CC Display Pro HL connected via USB-C. The process takes under two minutes and does not require a computer, offering a straightforward method for maintaining consistent color performance.

Additional tools and construction

Both monitors include a wide range of monitoring aids: waveform, vectorscope, histogram, audio meters, zebra, false color, peaking, safe area markers, anamorphic de-squeeze (up to 2x), and timecode display.

They are housed in durable aluminum with rubberized corner guards and pre-installed screen protectors. The K21 Flight Case version includes an angle-adjustable stand mount, sun hood, and a protective travel case suited for transport or rental use.

Mounting is flexible thanks to multiple cheese plates and a VESA-to-C-stand adapter included in both packages. The power input options—AC, DC XLR, and V-mount battery—accommodate a variety of on-location setups.

Price and availability

The SWIT K15 is priced at $1,549 and comes with a pre-installed screen protector, two interchangeable cheese plates, a VESA-to-C-stand adapter, and a carrying case.

For those needing a larger display, the K21 comes in two versions. The standard model costs $1,599, while the flight case version adds a rugged hard case, sun hood, and adjustable stand mount for $1,799.

Both monitors are scheduled to begin shipping in Q1 2025 and are now available through SWIT’s authorized dealers worldwide.
