"A Day at The Races" By: Philip Bloom and Hdi RAW Works.

March 8th, 2010

This is the short film shot by Philip Bloom and Hdi RAW Works. Philip Bloom Shot this with Hot Rod Cameras PL Mount Canon 7D and Cooke S4 Primes. It was shot in one day with a minimal crew. I got to see this projected on the big screen. It looked fantastic. The color was done by Jeremy Ian Thomas of Hdi RAW Works in Hollywood.

Thanks to everyone who came on Saturday … lots of great questions and feedback … images looked amazing on the big screen … PB delivered lovely content.

We’re trying to keep the Canon HD DSLR spirit growing through Jeremy’s blog …. check it out … 1D, 5D, 7D and T2i are all welcome here.

Jeremy and his production crew are about to set off to Death Valley, NV, to put the Canons through an Extreme Test … taking a whole set of Zeiss ZE prime lenses, the latest rigs from RedRock Micro Systems and a whole bunch of LitePanels and batteries.

It’s hot and dry during the day and freezing at night … but the desert flowers are blooming and the night sky is awesome …. Jeremy will be blogging and tweeting on his experiences over the next four days in the desert … what? … they don’t have wireless in the middle of Death Valley? … what kind of HD DSLR production location is this?
