Atomos NINJA V and V+ Now Available on B&H for $399 and $599

Atomos NINJA V and V+ Now Available on B&H for $399 and $599

UPDATE July 1st: The promotion seems to be over: B&H has reverted the price of the Ninja V+ to $799 and the Ninja V to $499.

B&H is currently running a huge offer on the Atomos Ninja V and NINJA V+ external monitors/recorders. Offering a 5” LCD display with a maximum brightness of 1000 nits and enabling DNx, ProRes, and ProRes RAW recording, they are now available for $399 and $599 respectively.

Standing at the core of the Australian company’s ProRes and ProRes RAW ecosystem, the NINJA V/V+ can take RAW sensor data from an ever-growing number of cameras and encode it into high-quality, editing-friendly formats.

The list of devices supported by the NINJA V/V+ is constantly expanding and already includes many popular DSLR, mirrorless, and digital cinema cameras. For example, the Panasonic LUMIX GH6 and Leica SL2-S recently joined the family. If you’ve been waiting for a price drop to put your hands on one of these devices, here’s your chance. Let’s take a closer look!

The NINJA V and V+, which were previously available on B&H for $649 and $999 respectively, currently retail for $399 and $599. The two devices feature very similar specs for both recording and HDR monitoring.

The major difference between the two models is that the NINJA V+ supports ProRes RAW recording over HDMI in 8K resolution at up to 30fps or DCI 4K at up to 120fps. On the other hand, the NINJA V is “limited” to DCI 4K60p.

A great thing about the Atomos NINJA platform is its versatility. In fact, the company has developed a series of additional modules over the years to further expand the capabilities of the NINJA V/V+. These include accessories such as the AtomX SDI, AtomX SYNC, and AtomX CAST. Their latest addition is the Atomos CONNECT, an optional module that turns the NINJA V/V+ into cloud-connected devices with frame.io Camera-to-Cloud integration.

Availability

Both the NINJA V and NINJA V+ are currently listed on B&H as “in stock”. I guess the offer will be available until supplies last, since the shop does not mention any limitation in time.
