Today Canon presented their new 4K line-up of cameras to us and pleased us with a 4K cinema projection at their “imagine what’s next” event in Las Vegas.
I filmed the whole thing for you, but unfortunately I am not allowed to publish the short film shot by Shane Hurlbut on a EOS 1D-C 4K HDSLR, and honestly, it wouldn’t do justice to the camera. In his speech Shane said the first thing that came to his mind when he saw the footage on the big screen was “film” and my skepticism concerning this comment vanished when I saw the first picture of the short. Yes, it’s film. What a move.
The Video file is still uploading so I suggest you check back later for it. This topic will be updated. The keynote was filmed with a 5D mark III and a 24-105mm lens that I just took out of the box and ran on factory settings.
