Davinci Resolve 11.3 Gets XAVC-I Encoding

Davinci Resolve 11.3 Gets XAVC-I Encoding

XAVC-I

Blackmagic Design has released an update for Davinci Resolve. Perhaps the most significant new feature is Sony XAVC-I (Intra) encoding.

XAVC-I is the codec heavily used in the Sony FS7 and F5 / F55 cameras. With this new format Sony brought a version of a powerful codec with similar attributes as the famous Apple ProRes family into their newest cinema cameras.

Furthermore DaVinci Resolve now added support for the Arri ALEXA 65. This however might only be of interest to a more limited number of users.
