Harlowe has announced updated versions of two of their most sought-after lighting fixtures, the Mini II and the Sol 5 Spectra, delivering improved performance and expanded creative capabilities for content creators and filmmakers.

Mini II – Portable powerhouse gets performance boost

The original Mini was introduced in 2023, and the new Mini II represents a significant evolution of Harlowe’s popular portable LED light. This bi-color fixture now delivers 1,800 lumens of output, a 12.5% increase over the original Mini’s 1,600 lumens. Enhanced battery performance extends runtime by approximately 20% compared to its predecessor, addressing one of the most common user requests for longer shooting sessions.

A standout feature is the redesigned 15° to 45° focusable lens system, now equipped with magnetic mounting points for seamless accessory attachment. This design improvement streamlines the workflow for creators who frequently adjust their lighting setup during shoots.

Weighing just 1.07 pounds, the Mini II remains an ultraportable solution. The fixture offers tunable color temperature ranging from 2700K to 6500K, controllable via onboard controls or Harlowe’s dedicated smartphone app.

The Standard Kit includes barndoors, a frosted dome, a honeycomb grid, four color gels, a custom carrying case, a USB-C cable, and a power adapter. For more versatile rigging options, content creators can choose the Creator Kit, which includes a desktop tripod, V-mount cold shoe adapter, and V-mount ball head adapter.

Sol 5 Spectra – RGB smartphone lighting

The Sol 5 Spectra redefines smartphone lighting with full RGBCW capabilities, expanding beyond the original Sol 5’s bi-color limitations. Despite its advanced feature set, the Spectra retains an ultra-portable form factor: When folded, it’s about the size of a makeup compact and weighs just 0.34 pounds. Its flexible, height-adjustable head allows for precise positioning when attached to smartphones via MagSafe compatibility.

Control options include both the integrated touchscreen interface and Bluetooth connectivity through Harlowe’s smartphone app. The returning Boost Mode feature doubles the light output for up to 30 seconds, providing extra illumination for critical shots.

The Standard Kit includes essential accessories like a frosted dome, magnetic adhesive rings, a USB-C cable, and a carrying pouch. The Creator Kit expands the creative toolkit with two Magic Lenses and five Magic Plates for specialized lighting effects, plus a tabletop tripod for standalone use.
