New Nikkor 300mm F2.8

The words handheld and 300mm usually don’t mix too often. Nikon claims that the new Nikkor 300mm F2.8 has a four stop compensation with the vibration reduction system. They also announced the first aspherical lens 2x tele-converter. Nikon has been loosing to Canon in the sports arena and this may be the ticket to get them back on top. Both lenses cover full frame.

Good catch Edd, i think its a typo and should say 82mm (the 8 is right above the 5 on the number pad).
52mm is physically impossible for such a large lens…

52mm filters on a 300mm? Well that’s a first.(if that isn’t normal on primes no matter the focal of course)
