New Apple Macbook Air in stock now

air

Apple updated the MacBook Air line yesterday at WWDC (watch keynote here). These new Macbook Airs started shipping literally 1 minute ago and can be ordered now.

timeThe most interesting new feature is the new battery life that has been considerably improved over the previous version.

See the graph on the left which shows how the new 13″ lasts for 12 hours as opposed to 7 hours before the update.

Other major improvements are more and 45% faster flash storage, Intel’s new “Haswell” processor, 40% faster integrated graphics and a new WIFI chip (802.11ac) that is said to be 3x faster (if you have a similarly fast base station).

After 1 year without an update it was about time for this refresh. And the stuff is in stock while it lasts (probably not long):

The Apple Macbook Air 11.6 inch starts at $999: LINK
The Apple Macbook Air 13.3 inch starts at $1099: LINK

lol Sébastian, this is your site, you can do whatever you want with it ;-)
I’ve been a C5D member since the beginning I am used to your Mac orientation :D
Though I’m not sure about your statement about Mac being the Platform of choice for filmmakers !
Anyway…
Oh and you forgot the third post : the RAW tutorial. I would like to add that this is done flawlessly on a PC too.

Hi Jeremy,
Well there are certainly also a lot of people doing WIndows, I have no doubt.
If you can write a RAW tutorial for Windows we will be more than happy to post it on the website for those who don’t use Mac.

Thanks, this one is a nice approach but I find it longwinded, outdated and can’t click on links. So if you don’t want to have the work of creating one yourself please don’t complain.
We are always open to publish work of others if it helps.

With all due respect, Is this site sponsored by Apple ?
Because All I see all over your homepage is Apple, Mac, OSX, Mac Pro, MacBook etc. … !
Maybe you should rename your site to Mac5D, it would be clearer.

:D lol
I think I should have been clearer about the relevance of the post, but I didnt have much time. Since Mac is the number 1 platform for filmmakers and 4K is coming the featured updates are very relevant to many of us.
And they were only 2 posts. So its not really all over the site, dont u think?
