Series 7 has released a replacement for the Canon LP-E6 battery for the Canon 5D Mark II and Canon 7D. The SL-E6 is the only aftermarket battery to relay information to the camera.  The SL-E6 is a 7.4v, 1800mAh battery that will work with the existing Canon LC-E6 battery charger. The street price for the Series 7 LE-E6 is $65, a ten dollar savings over the Canon LP-E6 batteries. Every little bit helps.
