Silly filmmakers. Sony would never make a camera that competes with it’s flagship quarter-million dollar f35. Their business just won’t allow it. An HDslr from sony will never never be a competent profesional video camera. It will have something wrong with it, no mic jack, poor codec, lineskiping, no manual controls, no monitoring options, limited recording, exct. We’ll have to wait a see which dastardly combo sony puts together, If you thought the 5D bad, anything and I mean anything from sony will be a nightmare for filmmakers.

Strange that they would pick that kind of a form-factor for a camera that they want to market to filmmakers. As Bpaulette said, it’d really be a nightmare to use.

Sony makes decent cameras, but the only pro photographer I know who had Sony gear switched to Nikon.

Body stabilization is nice, though.
