Final Cut Pro X launched today, in App Store now [UPDATED]

Apple just posted a press release stating that Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5 and Compressor 4 are available TODAY on the Mac App Store.

Final Cut Pro X is the biggest advance in Pro video editing since the original Final Cut Pro, said Philip Schiller, Apples senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. We have shown it to many of the worlds best Pro editors, and their jaws have dropped.

According to the announcement Final Cut Pro X will be available today for $299.99 and Motion 5 and Compressor 4 for $49.99 each at the Mac App Store.

No word on upgrade packages as we discussed yesterday.

So it is confirmed that there are no more DVD Studio Pro, Color or Soundtrack Pro.
They are all part of Final Cut Pro X now.
