Bright Tangerine Canon C400 and New Create Range of Accessories Introduced

New Canon C400 accessories have been announced by Bright Tangerine, including a Top Plate and Top Plate Filler, with more to come. Alongside the announcement is the unveiling of their new Create Series range of affordable and universal accessories, plus two products that are ARRI BUD compatible.

The Canon C400 was introduced back in June 2024 and has several features that are very appealing to cinematographers and videographers: A full-frame 6K image BSI sensor, the ability to film in Cinema RAW Light up to 6K/60p on CFExpress cards, and much more. And accessories from companies like Bright Tangerine help make it even better.

Bright Tangerine C400 accessories

Bright Tangerine has released two tailor-made accessories for the Canon C400: a Top Plate and a Top Plate Filler.

The Canon C400 Top Plate features a modular design and can be installed on the C400 in three separate segments, helping to keep the weight and bulkiness down on the camera. It comes with ¼” and 3/8” threads, MAP M4 points, QD sockets, and 15mm rod support. Plus, the C400’s electronic shoe is left open for other accessories.

Additionally, the Top Plate Filler piece can be used with the Top Plate via three standard 1/4”-20 screws or separately. It is ideal for a top handle or gimbal plates to maximize accessories. The Top Plate Filler features threaded ¼” & 3/8” points, a modular design, and like the Top Plate, it keeps the C400’s electronic shoe open.

Both new accessories are made from anodized aluminum, ensuring quality and durability. The Canon C400 Top Plate will retail for $125, while the Top Plate Filler sells for $49. The good news is that Bright Tangerine has more C400 accessories, which will be announced soon.

Bright Tangerine Create Series range of universal accessories 

In conjunction with their new C400 offerings, Bright Tangerine has also released the Create Series range of affordable and universal accessories, ideal for any camera rig. Each of the new Create accessories is built with anodized aluminum for long-lasting use.

The first products include a Cheese Plate Adapter ($29), Wide Cheese Plate ($45), Narrow Cheese Plate ($39), and a NATO Cheese Stick ($29). The Cheese Plate Adapter helps angle and offset the Cheese Plates from the camera being used, allowing for wiring and more. All use the universal 1/4” & 3/8” anti-twist points.

ARRI BUD compatibility

Finally, Bright Tangerine announced ARRI Bud compatibility with their new Spacer and Riser for their LeftField 3 15mm LWS Baseplate. It gives the proper clearance over the quick-release unit. It’s great for using the newest Canon cameras, including the C400, C500 Mark II, C300 Mark III, C80, or the C70.

Both of the new components mount with four M4 screws using a 3mm Hex Key. They are lightweight and made from the same anodized aluminum as the other Bright Tangerine products. The LeftField 3 Spacer costs $19, and the LeftField 3 Universal BUD Riser retails for $99.
