Strada introduced Strada Agents at NAB 2025: a tool that promises remote collaboration without the cloud. While details are still under wraps, the company claims users will be able to access and stream media from other devices without uploading or transferring files, making remote collaboration possible without relying on cloud storage or external servers. Let’s have a look!
Strada is an AI-enabled cloud platform first introduced in 2023 and made available to the public in 2024. It was founded by brothers Michael and Peter Cioni with the goal of simplifying how creative teams work with media – the company says it is “the world’s first technology platform purpose-built for content creators.” The platform uses AI to automate repetitive tasks and support collaboration during production or across remote teams.
Strada Agents is the newest tool in their lineup. While the main platform handles AI-driven organization and workflow, Strada Agents is focused on access by allowing teams to stream and share media directly from local storage, with no need to upload files to the cloud. The idea is to make it easier to review and collaborate, even across long distances. According to Strada, the system can even work across continents and is designed to run smoothly on standard internet connections.
Strada Agents is now in open beta, with more features like sharing, commenting, and downloads expected soon. The company is using early feedback to shape how the tool evolves.
Strada Agents beta is currently available at no cost. Pricing will be announced soon, but a free tier will remain available. For more information, please see their website.
Focus Check podcast from NAB 2025 with Michael Cioni
And in case you missed it, here’s our special episode of Focus Check from NAB 2025, recorded on the last day of the show, with Strada’s Michael Cioni. It’s a wide-ranging discussion of “where our industry is headed.” We also recommend this article on his recent Hollywood keynote speech on the Creator Economy vs. Hollywood.
Could this be the beginning of a shift away from cloud dependency? Can it really replace traditional cloud workflows in high-pressure productions? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

A camera was put in my hands at 16, and I’ve been taking photographs ever since. Before moving to Vienna, I worked as a photographer on film sets, telling stories as they unfolded behind the scenes. Since then, I’ve focused on immersive theater, both as a photographer and an actor. I am the photographer for the award-winning Nesterval ensemble, documenting the energy and atmosphere of their performances. I’m a teller of stories. Stories hold my interest. I’ll take on any project with a story to tell.
