Eurocine returns to Budapest in 2027. The film and TV production show takes place from Thursday, April 29 to Saturday, May 1, 2027, at HUNGEXPO, which makes it one day longer than the two-day edition this year in May. The 2027 floorplan is already out, visitor registration is open, and entry stays free.
Eurocine started in 2022 as Euro Cine Expo in Munich, organized by the team that also runs BSC Show in London. For 2026, the event moved from Munich to Budapest and changed its name to Eurocine. The first Budapest edition took place on May 8–9, 2026, at HUNGEXPO, with a symposium of more than 50 sessions that we previewed ahead of the show. According to the organizers, it brought together more than 150 exhibitors, with participants from almost 60 countries. By all accounts we’ve heard in person, they really liked the vibe and organization of the 2026 Budapest edition (also more than in Munich in the years prior to that), so they CineD team will consider going to Budapest next year.
The 2027 show is the sixth Eurocine edition overall and the second in Budapest. If you’d like to get a taste of what last year’s Eurocine was like, here is a recap:
Eurocine is built around four main elements: the expo, symposium, screenings, and the Eurocine Academy. The expo covers cameras, lenses, lighting, grip, aerial, virtual production, editing, and power, plus studios, locations, rental houses, and film funds. The symposium has talks, workshops, and panels on craft, industry practice, and new technology. Curated screenings of short films and documentaries are followed by Q&As with the filmmakers.
The symposium sessions are recorded and published on the free Eurocine Academy platform, so you can also watch talks from earlier editions there. Eurocine has not yet published the 2027 exhibitor list or the symposium program. According to the website, the exhibitor list will be announced soon.
The organizers describe Hungary as Central Europe’s production hub. On the Eurocine website, they list more than 30 sound stages, more than 50 production companies, and more than 20,000 industry employees in the country, together with a 30% film tax rebate. Hungary’s National Film Institute (NFI) supported the 2026 edition.
HUNGEXPO is Budapest’s congress and exhibition center at Albertirsai út 10. It has 75,000m² / 807,000 sq ft of event space in seven exhibition halls and a congress center. HUNGEXPO also offers dedicated filming studios and locations on site, alongside its exhibition and congress facilities.
Eurocine 2027 is free to attend and open to anyone with an interest in filmmaking, from students to established professionals. Visitors can register on the Eurocine website.
Companies that want to exhibit can see the 2027 floorplan now and register their interest in exhibiting with the organizers. For more information, please visit the Eurocine website.

A camera was put in my hands at 16, and I’ve been taking photographs ever since. Before moving to Vienna, I worked as a photographer on film sets, telling stories as they unfolded behind the scenes. Since then, I’ve focused on immersive theater, both as a photographer and an actor. I am the photographer for the award-winning Nesterval ensemble, documenting the energy and atmosphere of their performances. I’m a teller of stories. Stories hold my interest. I’ll take on any project with a story to tell.
