Eurocine, recently rebranded from Euro Cine, will be holding its fifth edition in Budapest on 8–9 May 2026 at the Hungexpo Exhibition Centre. The event brings together film, television, and emerging screen formats, with a program that combines screenings, a trade show, and a symposium. Let’s look at the details of this event!
In case you’re not familiar with this symposium, Eurocine is an industry gathering that combines a technical trade show, professional training, and curated screenings. It creates a space that covers both the craft and the business of filmmaking. The 2026 edition will run over two days, with seminars, presentations, panel discussions, and masterclasses. Here’s a look at where Eurocine 2026 will be held:
The symposium program has not yet been released, but previous editions give us an idea of what to expect. In 2025, discussions centered on AI in cinematography, mixed reality, metadata tools, and ways to manage costs. The upcoming edition is likely to revisit these themes, with additional attention on areas like sustainability and virtual production.
Alongside the symposium, Eurocine will screen short films, documentaries, and new creative work from across Europe. Some of these sessions will include Q&As, so audiences will have the chance to hear directly from the filmmakers.
