The CAME-TV Q-55W Boltzen 55w MARK II Daylight LED Fresnel

The CAME-TV Q-55W Boltzen 55w Mark II packs a punch without denting your wallet. This compact LED outputs a claimed 40% more light than the previous generation Q-55W and can be used with or without the Fresnel lens attachment.

LED lighting technology continues to improve, with innovations in design, optics, cooling, and control making it one of the most interesting and fast moving categories of production technology to follow in recent years.

Powerful and Portable LED Lighting

One of the biggest challenges many of us face is getting enough light where you need it on small scale shoots, outdoors, or in places where you don’t have AC power, without having to pack large, bulky lights, heavy stands and accompanying heavy V-mount batteries.

The CAME-TV Q-55W Boltzen 55w Mark II is a daylight balanced only compact LED light that promises to fit this requirement. Let’s take a look.

The Q-55W is compact at only 21cm x 9cm

The CAME-TV Q-55W Boltzen 55w MARK II looks almost identical to the original it replaces. Most of the changes are internal.

A number of optional accessories are available for the Q-55W including a V-Mount battery adapter plate, a bowens mount and foldable soft box, and a “Snap Kit” of filters, diffusion and a grid.

Pricing and Availability

The CAME-TV Q-55W will be priced at $288 and there is a two light and three light kit available at $568 and $798 respectively.

We don’t have full photometric data, so cannot yet give you the exact output of the light.
