Rodney Charters, ASC tipped me off to this killer hot head rig for HDSLR’s from Key Grip Kim Heath. This is one badass rig. It is basically a remote pan and tilt head on a long carbon fiber pole. It is very stable and can be placed almost anywhere. Kim used this rig on the upcoming film Secretariat to get in between the horse race scenes. He had a Canon Rebel working on it at the Expo. The pan and tilt functions are controlled by an additional operator. We grabbed a new Zeiss Compact Prime .2 85mm f2.1 to shoot this interview from the Birns & Sawyer booth. The Compact Primes EF mount are so nice! For more information contact Kim Heath at [email protected]
