DJI has announced the Power 1000 V2, a major upgrade to their portable power station line, offering faster charging, higher continuous power output, and app-based remote control for a smarter, more efficient on-location workflow.

What’s new with the Power 1000 V2?

In addition to grid charging, the Power 1000 V2 supports solar charging with up to 1800W input and car charging with DJI’s new 1kW and 1.8kW Super Fast Car Chargers, making it a flexible solution for RV travel, location shoots, or off-grid projects.

Designed for creators on the go

DJI highlights that drone users can fast-charge compatible DJI drone batteries using the DJI Power SDC super-fast charge feature, enabling you to get back in the air in around 30 minutes (10% to 95%), ensuring aerial shoots remain efficient without multiple downtime gaps.

The unit’s compact 14.2kg design combined with optional protective cases makes it practical to integrate into your van kit, location cart, or mobile production workflow. Safety remains a focus with LFP cells rated for 4000 cycles, flame-retardant materials, and environmental sealing against rain, condensation, and salt spray.

This announcement follows DJI’s introduction of the Power 2000 just last week, a higher-capacity, stackable power station delivering 2048Wh capacity and up to 3000W of continuous output in a compact, carry-on-sized unit. The Power 2000 offers even faster recharge times and the ability to stack up to ten expansion batteries, making it well-suited for high-demand location lighting and multi-day off-grid shoots. While the Power 2000 is ideal for those needing maximum scalability and output, the Power 1000 V2 focuses on portability, faster recharging, and app-based flexibility for single-operator or small-team workflows, ensuring creators can choose the unit that best fits their production needs.

Pricing and availability

The DJI Power 1000 V2 is now available from €899, with shipping beginning this month. Multiple accessories including expansion batteries, car chargers, and solar adapters are sold separately.
