FUJIFILM is continuing to disclose details about their upcoming GFX ETERNA large format cinema camera, and in this short article, we would like to encourage our audience and let them know what to expect in our upcoming interview with Yuji Igarashi-san (Divisional Manager) and Makoto Oishi-san (Product Planning Manager).
We at CineD started following the development of the camera back in November 2024. Since then, we have witnessed a couple of updates. One was when Open-Gate and Dual ISO were disclosed, and the other was during NAB in April this year, when the company revealed the Variable Electronic ND filter specifications, next to the possibility of hot battery swap, internal memory card type support, the compatibility with TASCAM XLR microphone adapter handle accessory and, support for Adobe Frame.io Camera-to-Cloud.
Now it’s time to move forward, and FUJIFILM has now revealed 10 new specs that the forthcoming filmmaking camera will feature:

7. Custom Framing Guides: GFX ETERNA supports customizable Framing Guides. Create custom guides and select from frame 1 / 2 / 3 setting.
8. Remote Multi-Camera Control: GFX ETERNA supports a Remote Rec. Function which is a web browser-based Remote Control Application that runs locally on a Wired or Wireless network.
9. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Support (AirGlu ,TG-BT1): GFX ETERNA supports BLE connection with ATOMOS AirGlu and FUJIFILM TG-BT1. Time Code Sync. Will be supported with TC plug, Atomos AirGlu Ambient devices and via USB-C connection with
