Having my C5D office at Birns And Sawyer, Hollywood affords me a great vantage point. HBO’s “True Blood” came in the other day and checked out two Canon 5D Mark II cameras with Red Rock Micro Rigs. Unlike “House” they are using Zeiss ZE glass. This seems to be a creative decision as these shows have the money to shoot with whatever camera they like. It’s nice to finally see the creative’s trump the bean counters. I suspect we will see more and more shows using HDSLR’s. Feels kind of like the parents just showed up to the party. Instead of shutting it down, they want to have fun too.
