Hollyland has released the Hollyland VenusLiv V2, the second version of their all-in-one livestreaming camera. The V2 camera features an upgraded 12MP 4K lens with an f/1.2 aperture and support for 4K30p streaming, as well as higher resolution compared to its predecessor. Let’s have a look!
Hollyland, known for their professional wireless transmission systems like the Pyro 7 and Pyro S, introduced their first live-streaming camera last year. The VenusLiv All-In-One Live Streaming Camera was among the first cameras specifically designed for professional, direct live streaming with a very easy setup and no need for additional equipment.
The VenusLiv V2 retains all the original model’s easy-to-use features, which you can read about in more detail here. Among the new enhancements is the “one-tap” streaming feature on the 5-inch flip touchscreen with pre-installed apps, allowing you to start streaming instantly to popular platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
In addition, there is an upgraded 12MP 4K lens with an f/1.2 aperture, an 80° angle of view, a minimum focus distance of 0.5m, and less than 1% edge distortion. Another nice upgrade is the ability to add overlays and remove the green screen using a Bluetooth keyboard, allowing you to replace the background with a virtual one.
The advanced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Series processor is now powering the camera and will make streaming smoother and more responsive, according to Hollyland. It’s paired with the Sony CMOS sensor and the HollyOS software system, offering professional camera functions such as ISO and white balance adjustments. On a side note, the company says, “The HollyOS operating system will continuously upgrade and iterate according to user needs, with more custom features and service modules continually added to optimize user experience.”
As a reminder, the camera has 6x Zoom (3x Optical and 2x Digital), and connectivity options include USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, 3.5mm audio, DC power, a SONY NPF battery plate, an SD card slot, and an Ethernet port. Streaming can be done through the built-in live apps, UCV, or, for RTMP streaming, users scan a QR code, save the platform URL, and, with one tap, can stream to two platforms simultaneously. A stable network connection should be ensured with either the camera’s WiFi or an Ethernet cable.
The Hollyland VenusLiv V2 All-in-One Live Streaming camera is available now for $949 / €880. For more information about Version V2, please have a look at their website.

A camera was put in my hands at 16, and I’ve been taking photographs ever since. Before moving to Vienna, I worked as a photographer on film sets, telling stories as they unfolded behind the scenes. Since then, I’ve focused on immersive theater, both as a photographer and an actor. I am the photographer for the award-winning Nesterval ensemble, documenting the energy and atmosphere of their performances. I’m a teller of stories. Stories hold my interest. I’ll take on any project with a story to tell.
