iFootage Shark Slider Pico Pro Released with a Higher Payload

iFootage has released the Shark Slider Pico Pro, a compact motorized slider for smartphones, select action cameras, DJI Pocket cameras, and lightweight mirrorless setups. The new model builds on the Shark Slider Pico, adding a higher payload capacity while keeping the same 400mm (15.7 in) frame, 255mm (10 in) travel length, 360° panning, app-based control, and up to 7 hours of battery life in horizontal operation. Let’s have a look.

The original Shark Slider Pico, introduced at IBC 2025, is a motion-control option for creators who want controlled camera movement without carrying a full-size slider system. The Pico Pro follows the same basic idea but gives users a little more room to work, especially when using slightly heavier camera setups or planning to expand the system with additional motion accessories.

Key features

  • Compact motorized slider
  • Compatible with select action cameras and phones
  • Smart pairing and quick connection
  • Integrated 5000mAh battery – up to 7 hours of battery life in horizontal operation
  • Optional AI tracking and fill light support
  • Five shooting modes
  • PD 3.0 fast charging support
  • Low noise operation

A similar compact design

The Pico and Pico Pro share the same basic form factor, with a 400 x 91 x 52mm (15.7 x 3.6 x 2 in) frame, 255mm (10 in) of travel, and support for horizontal sliding and 360° panning. This keeps both models in the compact slider category rather than the full-size motion control space.

There are a few physical differences between the two versions. The standard Pico weighs 0.86kg (1.9 lb) and uses an aluminum alloy construction, while the Pico Pro is slightly lighter at 0.82kg (1.8 lb) and combines aluminum alloy with carbon fiber. The Pro version also replaces the digital screen with an LCD color screen, which should make on-device control easier when working without the app.

Pico vs Pico Pro, payload and expansion

One of the main differences between the Pico and Pico Pro is payload capacity. The standard Pico supports up to 1.1kg (2.4 lb) horizontally and 0.5kg (1.1 lb) vertically, while the Pico Pro increases that to 1.5kg (3.3 lb) horizontally and 0.8kg (1.8 lb) vertically. That does not make it a heavy-duty slider, but it should give users more room for compact mirrorless setups.

The Pico Pro also adds expansion contacts for external third-axis support, as well as a USB output for video conversion and image transmission. iFootage also lists a separately available tilt gimbal and an optional visual tracking module with dual-color temperature fill light, which can add multi-axis tracking, subject tracking, gesture control, and lighting support.

Smartphone, DJI camera, and mirrorless support

The Shark Slider Pico Pro supports smartphones, DJI Pocket cameras, DJI Action cameras, and lightweight mirrorless cameras. It is most likely best suited to subtle product moves, tabletop shots, interviews, social video, and compact travel setups rather than large camera moves.

Payload still matters, especially with mirrorless cameras. A small body with a compact prime lens is a more realistic match than a fully rigged setup with a cage, monitor, larger lens, and accessories. The Pico Pro gives users more flexibility than the standard Pico, but it remains a compact slider.

App control, keyframes, and shooting modes

Both Pico models can be controlled through the iFootage app or directly on the unit, with Apple Watch control also listed in the specifications. They support A-to-B movement, keyframe control, time-lapse, stop-motion, panoramic shooting, and multi-point target modes, with two key points available on the device and up to eight through the iFootage Moco app.

The Pico system also offers up to 7 hours of battery life in horizontal operation and supports PD 3.0 fast charging (fully charged in approximately 2.5 hours with an optional 30W or higher charger).

For product shots or tabletop work, the ability to repeat a move can be more important than the length of the slide itself. The same applies to time-lapse and stop motion, where small, controlled increments are usually more useful than dramatic movement.

Price and availability

The Shark Slider Pico is priced at $199, while the Shark Slider Pico Pro will be available soon and is listed at $299. For more information on the Pico Sliders, please visit the iFootage website.
