Marshall V-LCD50-HDMI $599 US.

Marshall has just announced the release of the new Marshall V-LCD50-HDMI. This Pre-NAB announcement is just one of many new products coming out at NAB from Marshall Monitors. The new monitor will run for up to two hours on four “AA” batteries.  I expect that it will have the same features offered on the very popular Marshall 7″ HDMI monitor that is almost an industry standard for production DSLR work. The new Marshall V-LCD50-HDMI  will be priced just under $600 US.

Very attractive price, but i feel like stripping away the other inputs and going the AA battery route maybe takes a little too much away from their more versatile monitors so many of us are used to working with.

Agreed, but there’s a lot of one man or two man shows out there that have been waiting for just this.

Thanks for the post, Jared.

But that makes it an affordable price point from a leading standard in the industry. You’re not the intended market.

That would be a nice addition to this monitor. Thanks for the comment.

Said it before and I’ll say it again:

I’d happily pay a $500 premium on top of this price for a Marshall LCD like this that takes hdmi input and simultaneously outputs an HD-sdi signal for video village. I hate running a clunky outboard box just to allow me to go HD-sdi for a director/client monitor.

How’s the res on this thing?

Combine a 1366×768 5 or 7″ panel with all the Marshall features and HD-sdi OUT and you have a winner.

I agree with Dan. It’s a great size and should be a real asset to any shooter, but an investment in any professional monitor should allow for the ability to share an image with a client that can help pay for it.

Still not sure why Marshall does not make a SDI/HDMI Monitor. ????

Looks great. The AA battery power is fantastic. When will this be available?

Hey all,

So I’m powering this monitor with the JAg35 LP-E6 battery plate that outputs 5V. At the beginning the monitor power fine, but after 20 minutes the monitor starts shutting off and on continuously. The batteries I am using are Canon original. Also after this happened I checked the batteries and they were almost full. Does anyone have some idea of why this is happening?

Thanks!
