NANLITE Forza 60CR RGBLAC LED Light Introduced – Now with LumenRadio CRMX Wireless Control

NANLITE has just introduced a new version of their compact Forza 60C LED light: the Forza 60CR. This 88W full-color RGBLAC fixture has features similar to those of the 60C but with the addition of built-in LumenRadio CRMX wireless control capabilities. So, let’s take a closer look at it!

The compact NANLITE Forza 60C was released back in May 2022. My colleague Graham did an entire review of this fantastic RGBLAC specialty LED light, which you can watch here if you missed it. After nearly two years, which can sound like an eternity in the lighting world, Chinese lighting manufacturer NANLITE is finally back with an updated version: the Forza 60CR.

NANLITE Forza 60CR – features

If you know or have ever used the original Forza 60C, you’ll feel at home with the Forza 60CR. Indeed, nearly all of the features are similar between the two, including:

• RGBLAC spotlight with 88W of power output, giving you around 12.810lux at 1m/3ft.
• CCT range: 1800K to 20.000K with +/- 100 green and magenta adjustment.
• A CRI of 96, a TLCI of 95, a TM30 Rg reading of 100, and a TM30 Rf reading of 93.
• Multiple color modes, including HSI, RGBW, and XY coordinates.
• Fifteen built-in lighting effects with adjustable parameters.

• It has an FM Mount to attach lighting modifiers but also comes with a Bowens Mount adapter.
• The light measures 8.8 x 4.3 x 3.4″ / 22.4 x 10.9 x 8.6 cm and weighs 1.8lb/0.8kg.
• The Forza 60CR can be powered by the included power adapter, V-Mount batteries with the battery grip, or Sony NP-F batteries.

You got it. From the exterior and most of the interior, the NANLITE Forza 60CR is identical to the Forza 60C—except for one thing.

LumenRadio CRMX control

The difference between the Forza 60C and the new 60CR lies in a new built-in LumenRadio CRMX controller. Of course, you can still control the Forza 60CR via the onboard controls, the Nanlink App, the remote controller, or DMX/RDM control. However, the addition of LumenRadio CRMX capabilities can be a big one for some studios or operators when it comes to wireless control of multiple LED fixtures on set.

Price and availability

The NANLITE Forza 60CR is now available for $699, which is the same as the 60C at the time of release. The light ships in a carrying case with the AC power adapter, the Bowens Mount adapter, the FM mount reflector, and the V-Mount battery grip.

Furthermore, NANLITE mentions that you can upgrade your Forza 60C to a 60CR “with a paid hardware upgrade at authorized service centers. Users can contact the place of purchase for more details.”
