Profoto, the renowned light-shaping company, is presenting their cine-aimed Profoto L1600D. A 1600W daylight LED fixture with liquid cooling, designed to deliver comparable and even greater output than the industry benchmark ARRI M18 HMI. With an efficient ballast-free design, liquid-cooled silent operation, and dual mount compatibility, Profoto has surely listened to gaffers and cinematographers in creating this fixture.

Profoto, the decades-long gold standard in high-end photography, has been expanding their presence in cinema lighting. The L1600D may just be the company’s most significant product in this space, designed as a modern LED alternative to established HMI fixtures. Like other LED fixtures, the L1600D brings unparalleled energy-efficient operation to the table. But it’s Profoto’s signature design that wraps the fixture with a user-first design philosophy, evident in every feature.

The Profoto L1600D is available now, priced at $8,995. Each kit includes the lamp head, a reflector, and a case. A Pro Zoom fresnel is scheduled to ship in October 2025.
