Rolux Grand Series Professional Gold Mount Batteries Launched

Rolux has just released a new lineup of professional Gold Mount batteries: the Grand Series. Available in three capacities, 99Wh / 150Wh / 250Wh, the Grand Series features one USB-C in/out port, one USB-A port, one D-Tap port, and two DC output ports. So, let’s take a closer look at these!

Rolux is a Chinese battery manufacturer that has been making professional and affordable V-Mount, Gold Mount, B-Mount, and DV batteries since 2012. The company already has multiple Compact and “Regular” Gold Mount batteries available. Now, they are now back with the Grand Series, a lineup of batteries primarily aimed at the cinema and rental markets.

Rolux Grand Series – features

The Rolux Grand Series is a lineup of Gold Mount batteries consisting of three models: the Grand I, which is 99Wh, the Grand II, which has a capacity of 150Wh, and the Grand III, which has a capacity of 250Wh. All three models feature a rugged and durable case with an OLED display at the front to check your battery status level at a glance.

The Grand I measures 109 x 82 x 69mm and weighs 671g/1.47 lbs, the Grand II is 109 x 82 x 85mm and weighs 897g/1.97 lbs, and the Grand III is 128 x 82 x 102mm and tips the scales at 1359g/2.99 lbs.

At the top of all three Rolux Grand Series batteries, you’ll find:

  • One 5V/2.5 USB-A output port
  • Two DC output ports: one is 8.4V/2.5A and the other is 12V/2.5A
  • There is one USB-C input/output port. The Grand I’s USB-C port has 45W In/65W Out capabilities, while the Grand II and III models’ ports are 65W In/100W Out. You can use the USB-C port to charge the batteries.

On the left side of the battery, you’ll also find a D-Tap power output port. The D-Tap port has a maximum power output of 14.4V/12A on the Grand I and 14.4V/15A on the two bigger Grand models.

At the bottom of the Rolux Grand Series, you’ll also find one 1/4″-20 threaded hole.

Price and availability

The Rolux Grand Series is available now. The Rolux Grand I retails for $210, the Grand II for $280, and the Grand III for $520.
