Tilta has just released two new accessories that might interest you if you want to level up your smartphone filmmaking game: the ARCA Phone Mounting Bracket and the Rear Operating Handle for the DJI RS3 Mini. So let’s take a closer look at these!

Unlike the DJI RS3/RS3 Pro, the Mini version released earlier this year doesn’t come standard with a rear operating handle. After the recent launch of the Universal Cable Clamp, Tilta continues expanding its range of small and handy accessories that make filmmakers’ lives easier with the ARCA Phone Mounting Bracket and Rear Operating Handle for the DJI RS3 Mini.

Tilta ARCA Phone Mounting Bracket – features

The ARCA Phone Mounting Bracket is entirely made of aluminum and has a clamping range of 57 to 107mm, so it should fit nearly all smartphones on the market.

You’ll find an Arca Swiss-compatible mount at the base of the mounting bracket. However, Tilta mentions it “uses DJI’s ARCA Standard; ARCA compatibility is not guaranteed.” Indeed, there might be tolerance issues with some Arca Swiss accessories.

On top of the Tilta ARCA Phone Mounting Bracket, you’ll find a cold shoe mount to attach a small light or microphone to your smartphone.

Rear Operating Handle for RS3 Mini

The Tilta Rear Operating Handle for the DJI RS3 Mini attaches to the gimbal’s left-side NATO rail. A built-in safety pin prevents the handle from slipping unwantedly. This rear handle is entirely made of aluminum and stainless steel and weighs 206g/7.26oz.

The rear handle itself can rotate 360° and features an anti-slip silicone grip for extra comfort. At the top of the handle, you’ll find a cold shoe mount which is handy for attaching a monitor at the back of your gimbal.

Also, the bracket has a 1/4″-20 mounting point with locating pins and an additional cold shoe mount.
