Tilta Boulder Camera Cart has launched, opening a new segment for the company. While officially revealed at IBC 2025, the Boulder Cart has been quietly teased for about a year on show floors at trade shows, but it’s now ready for prime time. We sat down with Tilta’s rep to learn more about this modular, heavy-duty tool and figure out what Tilta brings to the table with their budget-friendly solution, and what the company’s target audiences are for the Boulder Camera Cart.

For years, Tilta has been known for their innovative and rugged cages, rigs, and accessories. Over the years, the company has created various filmmaking tools, bringing cinematic practices to an ever-growing audience. Tilta’s products cater to the needs of hybrid shooters, small film crews, and even smartphone users wanting more control over their process. Now, the company sets their sights on another segment – film carts.

The Tilta Boulder Cart – a modular hub

The Tilta Boulder Camera Cart is a hub for the company’s well-known modular design. An official payload of up to 250kg (551 lbs) allows for various add-ons, as well as a slew of gear mounted on top for prepping. The Boulder Cart’s basic design revolves around two main, flat surfaces equipped with various connecting points for almost everything you can think of.

A true go-cart

Despite its capacity, the Boulder Cart is designed to fold down easily. All poles and wheels can be stored inside the frame, which then sandwiches together into a compact package. This allows the cart to fit into the back of most cars, making it practical for indie crews and freelancers who often need mobility.

Alongside the Boulder Cart, Tilta is offering a wide range of accessories to adapt to different on-set roles. Options include:

• C-stand arms with baby pins for mounting lights or focus-pulling gear
• Monitor mounts
• Foot stands for additional stability
