Ulanzi VideoGo Travel Tripod for Videographers Released - Special Price for a Short Time Only

During IBC 2023, we had the opportunity to examine the Ulanzi VideoGo and discover the features it brings to field videographers. You can watch the interview with my colleague Nino here if you haven’t seen it. Ulanzi has now officially launched this compact, robust tripod, so let’s take a closer look at what it can do.

Ulanzi, a design and manufacturing company known for their photography and video solutions, offers a wide range of accessories, like tripods, lighting, microphones, and more. They released the Zero Y travel tripod in 2022, which caters mostly to photographers in the field, and now they’re back with a tripod that has a slightly heavier head, focused on videographers.

Designed for compact and smaller system cameras

This tripod is designed for videographers who work with compact and smaller system cameras. Crafted from 10-layer carbon fiber, it maintains strength without adding unnecessary weight. Slightly heavier than the Zero Y (1.1kg/2.2 lbs) and the F38 (1.08kg/2.38 lbs), it weighs in at 1.46kg/3.21 lbs) offering a bit more stability. The head of the tripod can handle a maximum load capacity of 3kg, while the tripod itself can support up to 20kg.

Quick-release options

The VideoGo tripod’s head is compatible with the Arca-Swiss and two other quick-release system options: the F38 and the CLAW systems. The half-bowl ball head provides easy transitions between dynamic and static shooting. The center column is both removable and reversible, and the feet can be switched as needed and according to the terrain.

The opening angles of the tripod’s legs are 22°, 55°, and 85°. It has a remarkable minimum shooting height of just 13cm, with a maximum height of 146cm, and a storage length of 45cm, so it’s an easy fit in a backpack.

And let’s not forget that handy toolkit inside the handle! Unscrew the end of the handle to expose the concealed blades, insert a blade into the handle’s opposite side, and you’ll have a handy tool ready for use while you’re on the move.
