Generative AI keeps advancing at an astonishing rate, causing unrest among many of our colleagues. Be it fearing the unknown or simply dismissing the advances in technology, I find many of us responding in an unforgiving way when the word “AI” is mentioned. But, is there a different, more positive way to look at what’s happening?

In today’s poll, we are trying to examine the fuller side of the glass. So, we are asking you, fellow filmmakers and content creators, if you have identified any positive side in what’s ahead. Have you discovered anything that could help with better time management or streamline production, without sacrificing the value of a dedicated team? That kind of insight would be a great example.

We’re already seeing this happening with some of the leading non-linear editing systems (NLEs), where tasks like transcribing or logging footage have become much easier, saving a considerable amount of time.

If you’ve explored any of the new generative AI tools, be it for video, audio, text, or images, have they helped you work more efficiently? After all, this could be a chance to finish a project faster, and, who knows, maybe spend more time with the family?
