SIRUI Aurora 15mm f/1.6 and 24mm f/1.4 Full-Frame Autofocus Lenses Unveiled

On the show floor at IBC 2026, SIRUI was displaying pre-production samples of two new focal lengths coming to its Aurora full-frame autofocus lens series: a fast, ultra-wide-angle 15mm f/1.6 and a 24mm f/1.4. These will be available in the next couple of months in Sony E and Leica L-mount. Let’s take a look!

The Aurora full-frame AF lens series debuted back in 2024 with the release of a classic portrait lens, the 85mm f/1.4, which my colleague Johnnie reviewed. That was SIRUI’s second attempt at producing an autofocus-enabled mirrorless lens series, preceded only by the Sniper APS-C line in 2023.

The Aurora series then grew with the addition of the 35mm f/1.4 and is now expanding on the wide end with the upcoming 15mm f/1.6 and 24mm f/1.4. At IBC 2026, we stopped by the company’s booth to learn more directly from SIRUI’s Sonny Liu.

SIRUI Aurora 15mm f/1.6 and 24mm f/1.4 – First look

SIRUI’s new Aurora 15mm f/1.6 and 24mm f/1.4 are born from the same DNA as the 35mm and 85mm, being fast, mirrorless-oriented lenses offering a clean, sharp look in a compact, lightweight design. Both lenses feature a metal-body construction and weigh around 500g.

According to Sonny, the lenses will initially be available in Sony E-mount and, as a result of SIRUI joining the L-mount alliance, Leica L-mount as well. However, there’s currently no mention of Nikon Z or FUJIFILM X options.

The lenses are equipped with an STM autofocus motor, the same one used in the 35mm and 85mm, which is claimed to offer good performance for both stills and video. On the lens barrel, we can find an Iris Lock switch, a programmable Fn button, and an AF/MF switch, while the area of the lens mount is weather-sealed by rubber gaskets.

Both lenses, including the ultra-wide 15mm, accept front screw-on filters (77mm on the 15mm f/1.6 and 62mm on the 24mm f/1.4). The minimum focusing distance is 0.3m/0.98ft on the 15mm f/1.6 and 0.26m/0.85ft on the 24mm.

Price and availability

The upcoming SIRUI Aurora 15mm f/1.6 and 24mm f/1.4 should hit the shelves in the next couple of months. According to Sonny, they will be priced in the $500-600 range per lens.
