The Accsoon CoMo wireless intercom headset system offers full-duplex communication for a team of up to 9 people (1 host and up to 8 remotes) with a maximum range of 400m (1,300ft). Using a standard 18500 type battery, the headsets offer 10+ hours of operation per battery. Available in June 2024 for $299 per headset.
When working on a film set in a team, reliable communication is vital. Only a few weeks ago, we informed you about a new compact intercom system from CAME-TV. Now, another Chinese manufacturer, Accsoon, known for wireless video transmission systems, has launched its full-duplex intercom system – the CoMo.
During the 2024 NAB show in Las Vegas, my colleague Graham met up with Nissy Cai from Accsoon to find out more about the CoMo wireless intercom system. Let’s take a look.
The CoMo is a headset-based, full-duplex, 1.9GHz wireless intercom system that offers up to 400m (1,300ft) unobstructed range. To maximize the range, the headset features an external antenna placed right next to the microphone hinge.
The host headset can connect up to 8 host devices, so up to 9 people can communicate within this group without the need for a hub.
As Nissy told us, each headset uses a standard 18500-type battery pack housed in the battery compartment opposite the earpiece. A fully charged battery will provide 10+ hours of runtime according to Accsoon.
The headset’s microphone features environmental noise cancellation technology, ensuring clear and understandable audio delivery of high quality. On top of a pairing button, each headset also has a volume up and down button.
The good thing is that you can use the headset on either the left or right ear as the microphone flips down on either side. When the mic is lifted upwards, the headset is muted.
The new Accsoon CoMo wireless intercom system will be available in June 2024 and the pricing starts at $299 per headset (host or remote). There are, of course, various sets available:
