Accsoon has announced the TOPRIG 100W 4-Bay NP-F Fast Charger. It can quickly charge up to four NP-F batteries at once, ensuring a production doesn’t lose a beat due to a dead battery. But this charger has some more surprises. Let’s take a closer look!

The NP-F truly is the ultimate battery for production and is ubiquitous on every set or in the field, no matter the size. They power cameras, monitors, wireless transmitters, and more, and come in different sizes. As such, having multiple chargers isn’t an effective solution. The Accsoon TOPRIG 100W 4-Bay NP-F Fast Charger can handle up to four NP-F batteries at once and has a small footprint, as well.

The Accsoon TOPRIG 100W 4-Bay NP-F Fast Charger has all the features needed for any type and size of production, plus it’s priced quite affordably. Highlights include two charging modes (fast and trickle), an LCD displaying battery status, powered by USB-C PD 3.0, and its compact size.

• Can charge up to four NP-F batteries at once.
• Supports NP-F550, NP-F750, NP-F970, and other NP-F battery types.
• Smart Mode fast charging (23W max) when time is of the essence. Safe Mode trickle charge (5W max) to extend life and condition the batteries is also available.
• 1.47” (3.73cm) color LCD display showcases battery status: Quickly check the charge level of each one plus how it’s being charged (fast or trickle).
• The CNC-machined metal base and intakes allow for air circulation and dissipating heat.
• Activation Mode can attempt to reactivate over-discharged NP-F batteries. The LCD display will indicate if it was successful or not.
• Powered by USB-C PD 3.0 and it supports the newest GAN chargers and allows laptops and phones to be charged along with the NP-F batteries. (Accessory sold separately.)
• Small footprint: 4.45” x 3.46” (11.3cm x 8.8cm) and lightweight at 6.67 oz (189g) makes it easy to travel with and can be tucked out of the way on set or location.

Do you need one?

In a word, probably! Being able to charge up to four batteries at once, eight if you have two of the Accsoon TOPRIG 100W units, can help keep your ACs’ minds at ease. I’ve been on more than one set where there was a tangle of multiple chargers with batteries at various charged levels spread out across a set. Or watching as an assistant checks various outlets to make sure there is power and they’re working properly. It’s a bit of a mess and a possible safety hazard.

This helps solve that and lets the AC know where the charge levels are at. That, and the ability to use two different modes to charge fast or condition the battery and extend its life with the Trickle mode.
