ASUS ProArt Display OLED PA32USD Announced – 31.5-Inch 4K QD-OLED with Dual 12G-SDI and 1000-Nit HDR

ASUS has expanded its ProArt OLED reference lineup with the 31.5-inch ProArt Display OLED PA32USD, a 4K QD-OLED panel offering a 240Hz refresh rate, 1000 nits peak HDR brightness, and dual 12G-SDI inputs for uncompressed 4K60 video signals. The larger sibling to the recently launched PA27USD shares the same broadcast-leaning feature set, with pricing set at US$2,699 (around €2,510).

The PA32USD slots in at the top of ASUS’s ProArt OLED monitor family alongside the smaller 26.5-inch PA27USD, which we reviewed in detail recently and praised for combining color-critical performance with genuine on-set capability. Where the PA27USD’s metal handle and low-profile feet pitch it as a director’s monitor or DIT station, the larger PA32USD is more clearly a desktop reference display for colorists, finishing artists, and post houses that want OLED contrast paired with broadcast I/O. Both monitors share the same 3840 x 2160 QD-OLED foundation, color performance, and calibration architecture, with the chief differentiation coming down to size and SDI input count.

QD-OLED panel and color performance

The PA32USD is built around a 31.5-inch 16:9 QD-OLED panel with a 3840 x 2160 resolution, 0.182mm pixel pitch, and 140 ppi density. Refresh rate tops out at 240Hz with a 0.1ms gray-to-gray response time, and the panel supports variable refresh rate via Adaptive-Sync. Typical brightness sits at 250 cd/m², while HDR peak brightness reaches 1000 cd/m² over a 3% screen area. Contrast ratio is rated at 1,500,000:1, in line with what previous ASUS QD-OLED panels have delivered in our hands.

Color coverage is quoted at 99% DCI-P3, 100% sRGB, and 100% Rec. 709, with true 10-bit color depth for 1.07 billion displayable colors. Each unit ships factory calibrated to a Delta E value below 1, and ASUS includes ProArt preset modes covering native, sRGB, BT.709, Adobe RGB, P3, BT.2020, DICOM, multiple HDR PQ and HLG variants, Dolby Vision, and three user CAL slots. The factory calibration is done using what ASUS describes as a new three-scale process, followed by grayscale tracking verification for uniformity. The panel ships with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification.

Dual 12G-SDI and the rest of the I/O

I/O is where the PA32USD makes the strongest argument over generic desktop creator monitors. Two 12G-SDI inputs accept uncompressed 4K signals at up to 60Hz directly from a camera, switcher, or capture device, which is the headline addition over the single-SDI PA27USD. Around the side, ASUS adds dual Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports (one offering up to 96W Power Delivery for a connected laptop, the other supporting daisy-chained displays), one HDMI 2.1 (FRL), and one DisplayPort 2.1. A built-in USB 3.2 Gen 2 hub provides two Type-A ports and one Type-C port, with a 3.5mm headphone jack alongside. Built-in 3W stereo speakers round out the audio side.

The HDMI 2.1 input supports 4K at 240Hz with Frame Rate Lock, allowing for high-refresh content delivery from computers without dropping to compressed signal modes. SDI accepts 33 to 135 KHz horizontal and 30 to 60 Hz vertical frequencies, covering the standard broadcast and cinema delivery rates.

Built-in motorized colorimeter and ProArt calibration

Both PA32USD and PA27USD include the same motorized flip-down colorimeter integrated into the bezel, which can run scheduled or on-demand self-calibration without external hardware or software. ASUS ProArt Hardware Calibration stores all color parameter profiles directly on the monitor’s internal scaler IC, so when the unit is moved between a Mac edit suite, a PC grading station, or a DIT laptop on location, the calibration travels with the display.

Calibration is also compatible with Calman and Light Illusion ColourSpace CMS hardware-calibration software for studios that already have established pipelines. The ProArt Color Center online tool adds centralized remote control over multiple monitors, allowing supervisors to schedule recalibration intervals across a facility from a single console. For colorists already working with the PA32UCDM or the 8K mini-LED PA32KCX, the calibration workflow will be familiar territory.

HDR support and OLED Care

Smart HDR supports Dolby Vision, HLG, and HDR10 within the same display, with an HDR Preview mode that lets operators view HDR-graded material alongside SDR references on the same panel. As with previous ProArt OLED panels, ASUS includes its OLED Care suite to mitigate the burn-in risk that comes with self-emissive technology. Panel Protection covers Sensor Protection, Pixel Shift, Screen Saver, ISP (Global), and Off Sensing across two adjustable intensity levels. Image Protection adds three levels of automatic local dimming around static UI elements like task bars, channel logos, and video edges. A proximity sensor with three detection ranges gradually decreases brightness when no operator is detected in front of the display, which is genuinely useful for studio environments where bars and scopes might sit idle on screen for long periods. ASUS backs the panel with a three-year warranty that explicitly includes burn-in.

Design, hood, and stand options

The PA32USD ships with two stand options, including a full-height ergonomic stand offering tilt (+23° to -5°), swivel (±30°), pivot (±90°), and 130mm of height adjustment. A lower-profile mini stand reduces depth for on-location or rack-adjacent setups. Both stands accept the 100 x 100mm VESA mount for arms or wall mounting, and an integrated metal handle makes carrying the 6.54 kg (14.4 lb) panel between locations less of a two-person job than monitors of this class usually are. Physical dimensions with the full stand are 718.3 x 615.8 x 239.7mm (28.28 x 24.24 x 9.44 in).

ASUS bundles a wraparound monitor hood with the panel to reduce reflections on location, with a top opening for third-party colorimeter probes. Cable clips are included for desk routing.

Where the PA27USD fits

For productions that need a more portable on-set OLED reference at 26.5 inches, the PA27USD covers the same color and HDR feature set with a single 12G-SDI input rather than two. ASUS is also offering a PA27USD Panaro MAX Rugged Case Edition with an Italian-made all-in-one transport case for crews moving between shoots. For desk-based grading where the second SDI input matters (multi-camera client review, A/B reference feed comparison, or working with an SDI router), the PA32USD is the more flexible option.

The PA32USD will be available in June for US$2,699 (around €2,510). The PA27USD is priced at US$2,199 (around €2,045), with the Panaro MAX Rugged Case Edition at US$2,599 (around €2,420). ASUS pricing may vary by region, and the company is including a three-month Adobe Creative Cloud trial in select regions with each ProArt purchase, redeemable until August 31, 2026. Full details are available on the official PA32USD product page.
