The Coronavirus pandemic forces a lot of companies to be creative and move some of their educative content online. CVP has just launched Common Room, which is a Discord channel that acts as an online community platform where you can follow workshops, events, live podcasts, watch parties, demos, and so on. Let’s take a closer look at it!
CVP Common Room – Online Filmmaking Community Platform
CVP just launched Common Room, an online community platform for filmmakers. The CVP Common Room is powered by Discord and is starting with free digital events. Soon, you’ll be able to follow live podcasts, community conversations, 1 to 1 demos, watch parties, as well as dedicated chats with the CVP technical team.
At the moment, you can already sign up to several events, including:
- Colour Chaos with David Morphy & Ian Murray
- A Virtual Canon C500 Mark II Tour by Canon
- #SetNotesLive with Ian Murray
- DaVinci Resolve Fusion for Editors Online
The cinema5D team will also cooperate with CVP as part of our Virtual Trade Show that will start this month.
How Does It Work?
To get access to the CVP Common Room, all you have to do is click on this link, enter a username, and voila! Otherwise, for a better experience, CVP recommends that install either the desktop or mobile Discord app.
Because virtual “seats” are limited, and many workshops already are booked out, CVP is also live streaming those events on their Youtube page.
You can also visit CVP’s event page for more details about all the upcoming Common Room seminars and events.
