Sigma has been active on several fronts lately, not only releasing new products like the AF CINE LINE 28–105mm T3 lens introduced last month, but also branching into unexpected territory with the launch of a new agricultural subsidiary. The BF itself was announced last year as a full-frame camera with a pared-back, minimalist, touchscreen‑driven interface and an aluminum body, with most physical controls reduced to just a few essential buttons.

Design and imaging

The camera has a single‑piece, aluminum “unibody” with just three main physical controls: a dial, shutter button, and power switch. A pressure‑sensitive rear pad and a small status display complement the touchscreen, which handles exposure settings and most menu navigation.

At its core is a 24.6MP full‑frame BSI CMOS sensor with a native ISO range of 100–102400. The BF records 14‑bit DNG RAW, shoots up to 8 fps, and uses a hybrid phase/contrast AF system for both stills and video work.

Video options include 6K up to 30 fps and Full HD at 120 fps with electronic image stabilization and L‑Log. The camera also includes 230GB of internal storage, which can accommodate extended recording without external media. USB‑C connectivity enables fast transfers and webcam use.
