Eddie AI "Feedback Mode" and Unified Rough Cut Workflow Introduced

Eddie AI just rolled out two major upgrades to their fast-growing editing platform. At VidSummit 2025, they unveiled Feedback Mode and a Unified Rough Cut Mode, both designed to make post-production easier while keeping creative control in your hands. Here’s what’s new.

Earlier this year, CineD covered Eddie’s growing role in AI-assisted editing, introducing 50 new platform updates in August and further updates in September, including extended rough cuts and smarter B-roll logging. This latest release continues that trajectory, adding functions that mirror how editors and producers actually collaborate.

Eddie AI Feedback Mode – what it does

The company labels the new Feedback Mode as a “creative collaborator.” It allows editors to upload cuts of up to 40 minutes and receive timestamped notes directly within their timeline. Eddie then identifies specific areas where pacing, clarity, or rhythm could be improved and gives actionable direction in plain language. The aim is to help editors pinpoint what to adjust without stepping out of their normal workflow.

Unified Rough Cut Mode

Eddie has also merged their previous ChatGPT, Social Media, and A-Roll Logging modes into a consolidated Rough Cut workflow. Users can now import footage once and generate multiple edit versions, from extended interviews to short social clips, without re-uploading or re-processing. It’s a straightforward way to work faster and try out different versions without all the extra steps.

According to the Eddie AI team, these upgrades mark another step toward balancing automation with creativity. Feedback Mode provides an extra set of “eyes,” while the Unified Rough Cut Mode turns repetitive setup tasks into a one-click process.

Price and availability

Both new features will launch worldwide on October 7, 2025, with live demonstrations taking place at VidSummit in Dallas, TX. For details and more information, visit heyeddie.ai. Feedback Mode is available at no cost during its introductory phase.
