NANLITE pico RGBW Pocket Light Announced - CCT Range of 2700K–7500K, Wireless Control

NANLITE has announced the pico, a 130g (0.29 lb) RGBW pocket light featuring the Nebula C4 light engine, adjustable CCT from 2700K to 7500K with ±150 green/magenta shift, and wireless control via the NANLINK app. Designed for portable use, it has a built-in battery, 14 lighting effects, a built-in yoke with integrated magnets, a snap-on diffuser, and more.

NANLITE continues to expand their ecosystem, following recent releases like the 18°-36° Zoom FM Mount Projection Attachment released last month and the PavoTube II released in April. We also took a look at their Bowens Mount Projection Attachment 25°–45° and discussed it in our Focus Check podcast, which you can watch here if you missed it. The newly announced pico pocket light adds a compact, battery-powered option that might be especially useful for vloggers or content creators working in tight spaces or who are on the go.

Light output, color controls, effects

The pico delivers 4,211 lux at 0.3 meters / 0.98 ft (5600K) and uses NANLITE’s Nebula C4 light engine to provide full RGBW color control with 0–360° hue and 0–100% saturation control. CCT is adjustable from 2700K to 7500K, with ±150 green/magenta correction for fine tuning. Color accuracy is rated at CRI/TLCI 95 and TM-30 Rf/Rg 92/99. The light also features fourteen built-in lighting effects, including storm, fire, and police light, among others, all with adjustable parameters accessible directly or via the NANLINK app.

Design, power, and mounting options

The pico runs on a built-in 1500mAh lithium battery and provides 1.3 to 6.5 hours of runtime depending on brightness. A real-time battery life display shows how much runtime remains, and if power runs low, the USB-C port supports both charging and continuous power from a wall adapter or power bank.

Mounting options include built-in magnets in the base to attach to flat or metal surfaces, a 12-position stepped yoke with 30° tilt increments, and a standard 1/4″-20 thread for use where needed. A cold shoe adapter is included for on-camera setups, and a magnetic snap-on diffuser is also provided when softer output is needed.

Interface and control

The pico interface features a single knob and two-button layout paired with a 1.28” circular display, designed for straightforward, one-handed operation. All main controls, brightness, CCT, hue, saturation, and effects can be adjusted on the device.

For wireless use, the built-in Bluetooth module connects to the NANLINK App (v. 2.0), enabling remote control and firmware updates via smartphone or tablet. App-based control gives access to the same settings, with finer adjustment options and faster switching between modes.
