NANLUX Evoke 150C – Compact 150W RGBLAC Fixture Debuts With Nebula C8 Engine

NANLUX has introduced the Evoke 150C, a compact 150W full-color light featuring the new 8-color Nebula C8 light engine, IP66 weather sealing, and flexible AC, V-mount, or USB-PD power, priced at $1,080.

NANLUX positions the Evoke 150C as an all-in-one LED for fast setups and tight spaces. The head, control, and PSU are integrated in a lightweight magnesium-alloy body that measures 209×147×127 mm and weighs 2.65 kg, including the yoke. With the 45° reflector, output is listed at 22,230 lux at 1 m at 5600 K. The fixture is rated IP66 for use in dust, sand, and heavy rain.

Design and output in a small housing

The 150C is designed for on-the-go accent, fill, key, or rim work where compactness matters. Despite its size and 150 W draw, NANLUX quotes 22,230 lux at 1 m at 5600 K with the 45° reflector, and 10,200 lux at 1 m in green with the same reflector. The housing uses high-strength magnesium alloy and includes a quick-release base with a 5/8” baby pin plate for fast rigging.

Nebula C8 light engine and color quality

At the heart of the fixture is the Nebula C8 engine with eight color primaries: deep red, red, amber, lime, green, cyan, blue, and indigo. It offers a very wide CCT span from 1,000 K to 20,000 K, plus a ±200 green and magenta shift, aiming for broad gamut coverage and higher saturation. Reported metrics are CRI 96, TLCI 97, TM-30 Rf 96, and Rg 100. Modes include CCT, HSI, RGBW, xy coordinates, gel, and effect, with 0.1% dimming increments for smooth fades.

Mounts and modifiers

Evoke 150C uses the newer FE mount with electronic contacts for accessory recognition and control, including a motorized yoke and the FL-12E Fresnel. It remains compatible with the existing FM-mount ecosystem. A PosiTight dual-safety system secures accessories, and a new tilt-lock with angle indicator helps repeat setups. Multiple 1/4”-20 anti-twist threads on the sides and top support add-ons or safety lines.

Power and control options

Power can be supplied via AC (100–240 V), DC batteries through the D-Tap V-mount holder (14.4–28 V), or USB-C PD 3.0 input in the 12–28 V range with a minimum of 60 W. Control pathways include on-board controls with a 2.0-inch display, Nanlink App 2.0, DMX/RDM, LumenRadio CRMX, Art-Net and sACN, a wired or remote controller, and NFC for quick pairing. Firmware updates are supported.

Cooling and effects

The company lists five fan modes: Smart, Full Speed, Low Speed, Pause, and Off. In Smart mode, average noise is quoted at 24 dB(A). There are 15 customizable effects to cover common lighting cues on set.

Price and availability of the NANLUX Evoke 150C

The Evoke 150C is priced at $1,080 before taxes, but it’s already discounted on B&H, as linked below. It will be shown at IBC from September 12 to 15 at RAI Amsterdam, booth 12.F21, with shipping slated to begin soon.
