Creative Solutions is hosting a free live online event on March 4th at 1pm EST / 10am PST / 7pm CET called New Fast Glass. During this event co-sponsored by SIGMA, DOP Roy Wagner, ASC, expert lens technician Matthew Duclos, and our CineD colleague Graham Sheldon as host will talk about lenses. To be more precise, the topic will be “How have optics and lens technology evolved alongside the advent and growth of digital cinematography?”
Creative Solutions has been producing weekly live events for a couple of months now. In partnership with Teradek, Wooden Camera, and SmallHD, these talks with industry specialists are about camera, camera accessories, industry tips and tricks and so on. On March 4th, co-sponsored by SIGMA, the team will talk about lenses and their relationship with Super 35/Full Frame sensors.
During this live event on YouTube – registration here – you’ll be able to join, for free, veteran Director of Photography Roy Wagner, ASC, expert lens technician Matthew Duclos, and host Graham Sheldon.
They’ll discuss and explore the differences between Super 35 and Full Frame, the science behind large format lenses, and how the correct lens can be one of a filmmaker’s most effective storytelling tools.
Also, SIGMA will give away a Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 DC HSM lens during the live stream, with the lens mount of your choice. To participate and join the event, all you have to do is visit the Eventbrite page of the New Fast Glass live-stream event and register.
Will you attend the live stream event to learn more about lenses and their relation with Super 35/Full-Frame image sensors? What is your favorite lens when shooting with a Full Frame camera? Don’t hesitate to let us know in the comments below!
