Here is a Quick Take on the new Switronix Powerbase 70. This thing really kicks ass! Finally, a solution for HDSLR work that is completely self-contained. The Powerbase 70 is a 70wh 14.8v Lithium Ion Battery or the equavelant of about five Canon LP-E6 batteries. The complete system comes with the Pro-X battery, a Canon LP-E6 battery adapter and P-Tap wall charger.
The battery can also be charged with any V-Lock charger and will also work as a standard V-Lock battery for use with other cameras. There are two 12v P-Tap accessory ports on the battery for monitors, transmitters, etc. It can be moutned via ¼-20 inch quick release plate or a female ¼-20 inch thread.
