SWIT MINO-S70 and MINO-S210 Introduced – Tiny 70Wh and 210Wh V-Mount Batteries

SWIT has just expanded its MINO pocket-size V-mount battery series with two new models, the MINO-S70 and MINO-S210. They offer a D-tap in/out port, USB-A out, and USB-C in/out. Pricing starts at $259.

Micro V-mount batteries can be an extremely convenient power solution and, for some camera setups, they’re even essential. For example, to avoid obstructing the single SDI port of the RED KOMODO when using the Tilta Battery Plate Adapter, you have no choice but using an ultra-small size power brick.

Back in February, SWIT launched the MINO-S140, a 140Wh V-mount battery that fits in the palm of a hand. Now, the company is complementing this model with two additional capacity options, namely the MINO-S70 and MINO-S210. Let’s take a look!

SWIT MINO-S70 and MINO-S210: features

The SWIT MINO-S70 and MINO-S210 are two 14.4V V-mount batteries that offer a capacity of 70Wh and 210Wh respectively. The bricks feature a compact and lightweight design, with a 4-stage status LED on the side. In particular, their size is compatible with RED’s flagship camera, the V-RAPTOR.

The 70Wh model measures 105×79.6x37mm and only weighs 419g/0.9lbs. The MINO-S210 is thicker (105×79.6×55.5mm) and has a weight of 713g/1.57lbs. According to SWIT, they managed to squeeze in approximately 40% more capacity compared to similarly-sized alternatives.

Both models offer a D-Tap in/out port, USB-A out (5V/2A), and USB-C in/out with support to fast charging, which can come in handy to power a laptop on the go. Furthermore, the  MINO-S210 offers a high output of 200W, meaning it can even provide juice to some lighting fixtures.

The batteries are built using a wire-free technology, which allows the circuit to stay safe and reliable. Finally, the MINO series batteries are packed with safety features to ensure protection against overcharging, over-discharging, short circuits, and extreme temperatures (from -20°C to 50°C).

Price and availability

The SWIT MINO-S70 and MINO-S210 compact V-mount batteries are now available to purchase from the manufacturer’s website. They retail for $259 and $549 respectively, while the MINO-S140 is currently listed on B&H for $275.
