The guide itself is only a small part of the vast library of educational materials that Blackmagic Design offers for free. The company not only has many free PDF manuals accompanied with sample footage and lesson project files available to download. Blackmagic Design also offers hours of free educational training videos and they also host live training sessions from time to time.

The colorist guide from Daria Fissoun, CSI, is Blackmagic Design’s official hands-on training guide that takes readers through a series of practical exercises that teach how to use DaVinci Resolve’s color correction tools in detail. It is designed to teach a wide variety of workflows, effects, and the tools necessary to perform professional grades, as BMD puts it.
