The Universal Battery Plate by Tilta provides continual power via P-tap and dummy batteries for both, small and large cameras, all while powering accessories too.
Tilta’s Universal Battery Plate has been designed as an accessory for their camera cages. Originally created for production and cinema cameras, the battery plate’s power options have been extended to many more, by using the corresponding P-tap cable and dummy battery. A 14.8V V-Lock battery powers the camera – DSLR and mirrorless – and other accessories, providing continuous power.
Four additional power outputs are available on the device through the P-tap outputs, as well as one SDI input and two SDI outputs, which can be used for splitting the camera’s video output to a monitor, recorder, or wireless device.
Another configurable feature is the rod mount, which can be unscrewed and placed at the top or bottom of the battery plate. This allows users to adjust where the battery plate should sit, depending on the rig configuration.
The Tilta Universal Battery Plate will be available soon, with a range of dummy batteries and power cables available.
