Accsoon CineView M7 & M7 Pro – 7-inch Smart Monitors Explained

Accsoon CineView M7 and M7 Pro offer a 7-inch, 1080p, LCD touchscreen with Android-based UI with a variety of assist features, internal recording, HDMI and SDI connectivity, and different powering options, including NP-F, USB-C PD, and DC. The M7 Pro will additionally have a built-in video transmission module for up to 4K60 video signals.

The Chinese camera accessories manufacturer Accsoon, focusing on wireless video transmission, recently announced the development of two monitor models (the company’s first monitors). On the NAB show floor, we met with Nissy Cai, who told us more about these two upcoming monitors called Accsoon CineView M7 and M7 Pro. Let us take a quick look at them.

Accsoon CineView M7 & M7 Pro

Firstly, the only difference between the Accsoon CineView M7 and M7 Pro is that the Pro version includes a wireless video transmission module. The regular M7 does not have it. Both monitors feature a 7-inch LCD with touchscreen operation and a resolution of 1920×1200.

Both monitors can also record the incoming video signal. The recording is, however, meant to be more of a backup solution or for quick playback and rush sharing as it is limited to H.264 or H.265 with a maximum bitrate of 50Mbps. The video recording can be saved to internal memory, an SD card, or an external SSD via the USB Type-C 3.0 connector.

Regarding connectivity, both models offer HDMI in/out and SDI in/out ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and even an additional 3.5mm microphone jack. For power delivery, there is a barrel connector (6-16.8V DC), dual NP-F battery slots, or a USB-C PD port.

The OS used in the monitors is based on Android, which makes it easier to add features and fixes with firmware updates, as Nissy told us. There is a handful of smart assist features included with the monitor, which are easy to turn on/off using the touchscreen UI.

The body of both monitors looks quite rugged. There are multiple mounting threads, some of which include holes for locating pins to offer better flexibility for rigging.

M7 Pro with built-in wireless video transmission

The CineView M7 Pro features a dual-band transmission module with four distinctive antennas at the top. It is worth noting that once the M7 Pro is released, only the RX (receiver) function will initially be activated. The TX (transmitter) function will then be added a few months later via a firmware update.

The M7 Pro is compatible with any CineView device, including the latest CineView Master 4K (make sure to check our review of this system), and the monitor can accept even the 4K60 video signal from this transmitter. The range will be around 350m (around 1,150ft) line of sight. Latency will be around 60ms.

The M7 Pro will fit into Accsoon‘s ecosystem of devices, where one transmitter can send video signals to up to four different devices.

Price and availability

As Nissy from Accsoon told us, the monitors are expected to be ready for shipping by the end of May 2025, with pre-orders likely to begin soon. The pricing has not yet been finalized, but Accsoon usually sets the prices of its products competitively.
