Angelbird High-Speed Card Readers PKT Announced – For CFexpress A&B, and SD Cards

Angelbird has introduced new, high-speed USB-C Card Readers PKT, including CFexpress A, CFexpress B, and SD. Each features data transfer speeds of up to 20Gb/s for the CFexpress A, and B, and 5Gb/s for the SD. Let’s take a closer look at Angelbird’s new readers!

The Austrian company Angelbird has a variety of reliable storage options, including the recently announced Angelbird AV Pro CFexpress Type A SE Cards (160 GB and 330 GB capacity) and the CineD-branded Special Edition CFexpress Type B 1TB card. Parallel to announcing their new Card Readers PKT, Angelbird has also released AV Pro CFexpress Type A SE Cards (available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB).

Angelbird Card Readers PKT – features 

The Angelbird Card Readers PKT are compact and durable, making them a convenient choice for travel when filming on set or location. The color-coding differentiates the type of card reader, adding convenience when shoots feature different cameras and devices using a variety of cards. The PKT Caps keep the cards safe while in use or transport.

All three card readers have USB 3.2 and secure transfer speeds up to 20Gb/s (Angelbird Card Reader PKT CFexpress A and B) and up to 5Gb/s (the PKT SD card reader). This ensures that transferring large amounts of footage from cards to computers and drives happens quickly. Being able to hot-swap cards keeps the production moving while offloading card data.
