CAME-TV V-Mount Battery Clamp Mark II Announced - Larger and Stronger

CAME-TV has just released a new Mark II version of its V-Mount battery clamp. This updated version features a larger opening, so it’s compatible with beefier lighting stands, and it now also features 1/4″-20 and 3/8″- 16 mounting points. Let’s take a closer look at it!

Third-party accessory manufacturer CAME-TV is well-known for creating budget-friendly rigging solutions, camera support systems, LED lights and camera batteries. Many LED fixtures can be battery-powered by one or multiple V-Mount cells. In addition, the company’s POWER-STATION has been quite popular as a battery charger and portable generator.

However, if your LED fixture does not have a built-in V-Mount battery mount or ballast, you might get into trouble as you can’t let a heavy battery pack hang freely, held only by a power cable. To solve that problem, V-Mount battery clamps come in handy and can be mounted quickly onto light stands and camera tripods, for example. CAME-TV already had a V-Mount battery clamp in their lineup of products, but now they have updated it.

CAME-TV V-Mount Battery Clamp Mark II features

Similar to its predecessor, the Mark II version of this V-Mount battery clamp is made entirely out of metal. With a total weight of 350g/0.77lb, close to twice as much as its predecessor, you can quickly tell how beefier and more robust the Mark II is.

The maximum opening is now wider at 2.4in/6cm, which should fit most light stands and tripods. There is now a large red knob to quickly and easily tighten the clamp. This kind of triangular locking knob may give you more torque than the previous ratcheting handle.

CAME-TV also put multiple 1/4″-20 and 3/8″- 16 mounting points on each side of the clamp. According to the company, this Mark II version is compatible with regular and mini V-Mount batteries, V-Mount battery plates, and their 48V power station.

The CAME-TV V-Mount battery clamp Mark II is available now for $35.
