CAME-TV Voltrable TR-5000 Power Station Explained – A Portable 5000W Power Solution

September 19th, 2025Jump to Comment Section

At IBC 2025, we had a chance to talk to Frank Zahn, the owner of CAME-TV, about their Voltrable TR-5000, a new portable power solution. CAMTE-TV is a Chinese company known for lighting and intercom systems, and now they are venturing into the high-capacity portable power market with a new brand under the name “Voltrable”. Let’s take a closer look.

CAME-TV, the company traditionally known for lighting and intercom systems in the film industry, is making a significant pivot with the launch of their new portable power division under the brand name “Voltrable.” At IBC 2025, CAME-TV’s owner, Frank Zhan, introduced their flagship product: a heavy-duty 5000-watt portable power station designed specifically for film production and industrial applications.

The move into portable power reflects the growing demand for high-capacity mobile energy solutions in film production. As LED lighting technology continues to advance with more powerful fixtures, traditional power distribution methods often fall short in remote or challenging shooting locations.

Built for professional use

The Voltrable TR-5000 power station distinguishes itself from consumer-grade alternatives through several key features. The unit houses a robust metal construction that can withstand significant weight and abuse on set. While talking to Frank, I took the freedom to stand on the Voltrable power station and demonstrate its robustness, and indeed, it felt extremely strong!

The power station delivers 5000 watts of capacity with a matching 5000-watt inverter, providing substantial power for demanding LED lighting setups and professional equipment. Despite its impressive power output, the unit maintains portability through an integrated wheel and foldable handle system.

Charging and connectivity options

The device offers multiple charging methods to suit different production scenarios:

  • AC charging: Full charge in approximately 1.5-2 hours
  • Solar charging: 1250-watt solar panel input capability
  • Multiple outputs: Two to three AC outputs plus industrial 38-amp current options

This versatility extends beyond film production applications. The power station can charge electric vehicles and power various industrial tools, making it suitable for both professional and emergency home use.

Long-Term investment focus

CAME-TV has positioned the Voltrable as a long-term investment piece. The unit incorporates LiFePO4 battery technology, offering an impressive 3,500 charge cycles. According to Frank’s calculations, with daily charging, the unit should provide reliable service for approximately ten years.

The company backs this longevity claim with a three-year warranty, reflecting confidence in the product’s build quality and durability.
