DJI Mavic 3 Firmware Update Fixes IMU Calibration Issue

The latest DJI Mavic 3 firmware (v01.00.0800) is a patch to fix an IMU calibration issue users began to experience after updating to v01.00.0700. Let’s take a closer look.

Released on May 31st, the DJI Mavic 3 v01.00.0700 firmware added many exciting new features. It allows the camera to shoot in new frame rates in both UHD and 1080p. Also, it adds new flavors of ProRes 422 and 422 LT. Moreover, it brings a number of updates to the telephoto camera – including the ability to shoot RAW stills. However, shortly after the update users began to receive an error message when attempting to calibrate the IMU. The IMU sensor is what keeps the Mavic 3 stable in the sky. Although calibration isn’t required before every flight, it is best to calibrate the sensor after updating the firmware.
