FilmConvert Camera Pack for Sony FX9

The Sony FX9 is a popular camera amongst filmmakers since its introduction at IBC 2019. Indeed, the FX9 is kind of an FS7 on steroids, with a 6K full-frame sensor, excellent autofocus capabilities, dual native ISO (800 and 4000 ISO), 10-bit 4:2:2 internal recording, future 16-bit RAW output and so on. This camera is very capable. For more information, you can read our hands-on review of the Sony FX9 here.

The FilmConvert team is continually updating its list of camera packages always to make sure filmmakers are covered. Today, they just introduced a new camera pack specifically for Sony FX9 shooters. As always, this camera pack is compatible with the FilmConvert Pro and FilmConvert Nitrate plugin. For more information about FilmConvert Nitrate, you can take a look at our article here and even get a 10% discount when purchasing the plugin.

All FilmConvert products are effortless to use and straightforward. Indeed, all you have to do is download the plugin, select the camera profiles that you want to download on the website, install it, and voila! The software uses this profile as a base to build an authentic look of the type of film emulation you desire.

Also, if you are currently working on a project shot with the Sony FX9, don’t worry; installing these camera packs will not interfere with any grades in your current projects. You’ll see additional profiles available in the drop-down menu the next time you reboot your NLE.

Pricing and Availability

FilmConvert camera packs are always free. You can download the new camera packs along with support for a wide selection of other cameras from the FilmConvert website.

Finally, new FilmConvert camera packs should be released soon for the GoPro Hero 8, DJI X7 and X5S, and two recent releases from Canon as well.
